A Career Change

Last week I went in to work to give my resignation, yesterday I cleaned out my office and said my goodbyes, and today is my official last day with the company...

I'm so excited and lucky to be staying home with my beautiful girls everyday. I don't want to miss a moment. But after 6 years at Nick - to the day oddly enough - I am feeling very emotional about leaving. It's been such an amazing journey with that job. I got to do and see awesome things. I lived my dream while I was there and made some life long friendships. I feel so conflicted to be feeling both sad about closing the Nickelodeon chapter on my life and thrilled to be a new stay at home mom.

I like something my mom said to me about it - "I do not cry because it's over, I smile because it happened." And that's so true. I will always look back with fond memories and someday I can tell my girls all about it...

Here is a picture of my badge. They took this photo on my very first day! I was SO nervous!

BUMBO!

Check out my little Olive Bean (that's what I call her) in her Bumbo chair for the first time! What a big girl! She doesn't love sitting in it for more than a few minutes, but I'm just so excited that she holds her head up well enough to use it. Parker will be able to do it soon, but not just yet.
She looks totally adorable in it because the chair is as big as she is!

Easter

I realize that this whole blog could just be called "twin girls in holiday dresses", since that is what I mostly post. But who can resist an occasion for a special outfit?! Here are the girls in their Easter dresses. Grandma Saint also came to visit for their first Easter so here are some pictures with her. As a reminder, it's incredibly hard to get 2 babies to do the right thing for the camera :)

Look at Parker holding Olive's arm!

Olive looking surprised and another cute one of her.

And pretty Parker

and of course the little bunny shoes they both had on

What we have been up to...

Here are some things the girls have been doing lately.

They are really good at holding their heads up
Here is Parker

and Olive

Parker learned how to hold her rattle

Uncle Rick came to visit. Here he is with Olive

And I don't normally put the girls in matching outfits. But I could not resist these "Daddy Loves Me" shirts and the adorable cupcake dresses from GG Thompson

Valentines Day Dresses

Here are the girls in the adorable dresses that Grandpa Brothers gave them. They wore them to church today and they were a big hit!

Parker's new noise

Lately Parker has been making the cutest new noise - like a "whooo" type sound. Here it is on video. So cute! You will have to scroll down and stop the music at the bottom to really hear her.

Blessing Day

The girls were blessed in church this past Sunday, and we were so lucky to have some of our family here for the big day. Shawn's parents, my Mom & Mike and GG all made the trip. My good friend Zeb and his fiance Heidi also came which was so nice. And of course we had our second families the Barton's and the Bradfords there as well.
Everything went so well (despite a total major meltdown from Olive seconds before her big moment - but she pulled it together just in time!). Shawn had to do 2 blessings, which was a lot of pressure, but he did such an amazing job and it was an extremely special day that we will always remember! Here are some pictures.

Proud Parents!
After church, the Bartons had us all over for a brunch party. We changed the girls into their party dresses. They slept the whole time!
Thanks to everyone for making the day so special!
